Amanda Gayle received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Georgia in the Counseling and Testing Center. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in the Occupational Health Department working in both the internal and external employee assistance programs. She is licensed in North Carolina where she was in private practice for 15 years serving primarily adults in individual and couples counseling with many presenting issues. Her focus was on cognitive behavioral therapy to treat anxiety, mood disorders, grief, relationship difficulties, stress management, self-esteem, and parenting. She joined Relias as a subject matter expert writer for behavioral health in 2021.

Dr. Rachael Ellison received her PhD in Clinical/Community Psychology from DePaul University. She completed a pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the APA-accredited VA San Diego Healthcare System (with specialized rotations in neuropsychology, TBI, cognitive rehabilitation, and PTSD). She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology through the APA neuropsychology specialty accredited fellowship at Edward Hines Jr., VA Hospital (with specialized rotations in inpatient/outpatient neuropsychology, TBI, cognitive rehabilitation, and health promotion/disease prevention), while also engaging in post-doctoral research at Northwestern University during her clinical fellowship. Dr. Ellison is a clinical neuropsychologist and researcher, with expertise in applied neuropsychological research with a social and racial justice focus. She holds a tenure track faculty appointment, as well as is engaged in private practice as a clinical neuropsychologist where she conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and cognitive rehabilitation. Dr. Ellison serves on multiple national committees and speaks regularly at national conferences and other training events.
