Christopher Meketansky OTR/L graduated from Stony Brook University in 2017 with a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. He received training in manual therapy, specialized treatment for individuals with degenerative neurological disorders and post-stroke neurorehabilitation. He has worked in skilled nursing and home healthcare settings with experience treating patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, balance impairments, and a myriad of other conditions impacting the older adult population.
Subject Matter Expert: Amanda Speights, DHSc, OTR/L
Dr. Amanda is an OT practitioner with a post-professional doctorate in health science. Her clinical experience includes working with children and adults in school-based, hospital, home health, outpatient, prescribed pediatric extended care (PPEC), and telehealth settings. Dr. Amanda is dedicated to serving the profession of occupational therapy through her work as a Clinical/Fieldwork Educator, and former Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) pediatric and school-based practice content. She currently serves as an OT practice representative to the Roster of Accreditation Evaluators (RAE) for the 2020-2023 term.
